THE GUACAMAYA LODGE is located on Playa Junquillal on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, on the western edge of the Nicoya Peninsula, approximately twenty-seven miles south of the Tamarindo Airport, and one and a half hours from the Liberia International Airport.

Liberia route: If you decide not to take the ferry follow the signs to Liberia once in Liberia take the left highway at the intersection to Santa Cruz. Just before the bridge leading into Santa Cruz turn right and Follow the road for 18 km. You pass another metal bridge and turn left again. Approximately 200 mt after that turn there is a right turn. Follow the road until the small town of Paraiso. After the soccer place turn left and you arrive after 4 km to the Guacamaya Lodge on the left side

	THE GUACAMAYA LODGE is located on Playa Junquillal on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, on the western edge of the Nicoya Peninsula, approximately twenty-seven miles south of the Tamarindo Airport, and one and a half hours from the Liberia International Airport.
		BY CAR: From San Jose take the Pan-American Highway north towards Liberia. You can either get to the Guacamaya Lodge taking the Tempisque Bridge (4 hour drive) or the Liberia route ( 5 hour drive). Bridge Route(Puente de la Amistad): After the village of Limonal is a big Shell Gas station. Turn lift here it will lead you to the bridge. After 20-minute ride, follow the road until it dead ends and turn right towards Nicoya. Follow the signs to Santa Cruz, after the traffic light in Santa Cruz you pass a metal bridge and turn immediately to the left after the bridge. Follow the road for 18 km. You pass another metal bridge and turn left again. Approximately 200 mt after that turn there is a right turn. Follow the road until the small town of Paraiso. After the soccer place turn left and you arrive after 4 km to the Guacamaya Lodge on the left side.

	BY BUS: Two local bus lines leave San Jose to Santa Cruz. TRALAPA and ALFARO. They have almost and hour schedule. Fare is about $ 5 and it takes approximately 5 hours. Alfaro number is 2222 27 50 or 2223 82 29 and Tralapa number is 2221 72 02 From Santa Cruz a Taxi brings you to Guacamaya Lodge for $ 30 in 45 Minutes. There is one Tralapa bus at 2pm who has a connection in Santa Cruz to Playa Junquillal. BY AIRPLANE: Sansa flies daily to Tamarindo. 37 km north of Junquillal.
